About whitsun

Welcome to Whitsun - Lolland's music festival in Pentecost

The aesthetics captivate, the music plays, the food tastes and the wine delights. Welcome to Whitsun – Lolland’s Whitsun Festival, which unfolds for the fourth time on June 8, 2025 12.00-23.30. The destination is Christianssæde and its park, and the historic baroque manor house from 1690 is the backdrop for the music and talk stage, and the festival site offers local flavors carefully selected by organizers. The festival area is decorated with cozy, natural and minimalist elements, allowing the manor house and park to come into their own, but with a splash of color – because of course the guests have come to Christianssæde in the middle of Lolland to have a good time.
The ‘Anemone Stage’ features well-known music acts and our talk stage – the ‘Christiansborg Stage’ – focuses on the good life of the future, with the help of relevant speakers. Our intimate festival is of the highest quality, and with the focus on a wonderful experience that caters to all the senses, we want to kickstart the summer on Lolland with Whitsun. Our guests can look forward to an honest and green festival universe. Because sustainability is a matter of course in our construction of Lolland’s new festival, and as organizers, we take responsibility and prioritize the green choice in relation to including disposable tableware, deposit systems and waste sorting. Products, food, beverages and partners are local and the quality is high. Enjoy a gourmet experience created in collaboration with local eateries. We set the framework for the stalls that are rented out, and we work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the standards meet the expectations of our guests and ourselves. Our buses pick up and drop off from and to Ryde Station and the nearby towns of Nakskov, Maribo, Rødby, Saxkøbing and Nykøbing, but you can also come by car and stay overnight at our free campsite in the beautiful Christianssæde Forest.Whitsun is a festival for everyone who appreciates great taste and unique experiences. Our service and infrastructure is designed to ensure comfort with high security, clean toilet facilities and short queues for our Aperol Spritz and Hendricks Gin Bar. At Whitsun there are no VIP areas – we believe in egalitarian values where all guests have access to the entire park’s experiences and facilities. It’s also a family-friendly festival, so children are also very welcome. The festival is non-profit based and any profits go to the preservation of nature and cultural activities in and around Christianssæde on Lolland. The festival annually gives out 100 free festival tickets to a target group that the festival wants to honor, reward or encourage. We look forward to creating a wonderful overall experience on Lolland, where community and quality are combined with a strong belief that Whitsun Festival Lolland can offer a product on par with other successful festivals and attract an audience with a taste for quality, authenticity and sustainable values.

Happy Whitsun!
